Meet The Family

Hi! I?m Jill Jones the owner of Upstate Dog Training and Pet Resort. Fifteen years ago I started this business. Prior to that, I was working as a rural carrier for the postal service in Greer. In the evenings I trained dogs for friends and friends of my friends. . . . for free, because I just loved doing it. Later I decided I had to start charging a little something simply because of all the time it was taking in my life. I was still at the post office, but I wasn?t happy there because my heart was with the dogs. My business started in my basement, which I had turned into a small boarding/training facility. I signed up for training school to get a certification because I wanted to learn even more about dogs and training SaveCancelCloseEdit FileWhen finismethods. I received my Master Trainers Certification in the mid-1990?s. A few years later, we outgrew that first kennel and decided to build our current training facility and pet resort.
We continue to grow, having added a dog park located on Hwy. 14 consisting of several separately fenced play areas. Our future plans include planning the building of our third kennel.
The old saying ?If you love your job you never work a day in life? is very true!
